Yeardo year, telephone manufacturers accumulate at the World Mobile Congress to detect their most recent and largest equipment. At MWC 2025 in Barcelona, we have already seen some extraordinary new equipment run in stores later this year, as well as concept equipment we can see in the years ahead.
MWC happens in a main position: while Samsung always throwing the gun by notifying her phones in January, as seen with the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, other phone manufacturers expect to harass their future devices in late February or in the largest mobile industry event of the year.
Many of these phones are cut, but still quite conventional to compete with the Galaxy S25 for the main customers. But in Barcelona, we also have to see the strange, inventive models that telephone manufacturers are appearing. These have more specialty clients in mind, so not everyone will receive extensive concessions.
Undoubtedly, some of these are phones of concepts that will not reach the market at all, but, on the contrary, serve as evidence of the concept of intriguing ideas that can be reduced one day. Sometimes, it is a matter of technology that needs to be further developed, or that the new ingredients become common enough to be affordable-we saw folding phone screens in MWC for years before reaching market-ready equipment.
Here are the strangest phones in MWC 2025.
Detachable camera lenses on smartphones
The concept of the Xiaomi modular camera.
Not one, but two telephone manufacturers have displayed new concept devices that have full -sized camera lenses, you can attach them to the back of a smartphone.
Xiaomi calls his concept “modular optical system”, which magnetically attaches to the added camera lens to the back of the smartphone body. It has an even larger four-thirds image sensor (a common size and ratio in digital camera lenses) than the 1-inch 15-Ultra-Inch image sensor (which is not actually an inch in size), connects to the back of the phone below the conventional camera block and takes pictures of the editor.
Real also had a concept device with digital lenses of the camera size you can attach. However, unlike the Xiaomi device, Realme can mount lenses without a mirror, which are larger and can potentially make better photos. It also has an adapter that allows the assembly of professional level lenses, such as a Leica M11 or Canon R6.
Console Game Foldable and TRIPLE CLAMSHELL phone

Samsung Display always comes to MWC with interesting concepts.
Samsung Display can be trusted reliably to debut equipment of exciting and intriguing concept at MWC. This year, the company screen sharing had some ideas for future folding apparatus.
The first is a folding playground, which looks like a folding rolled rolled-style chlama in a case with games from both sides-a finger and a buttons ring surrounding an inverted hole, such that when the device is closed, the big toe fit into the hole. As we saw it by executing games, it is unclear whether this concept device is more of a smartphone with a neat case or a cell phone with paper.

Samsung’s double concept was like a change in Galaxy Z Rolling.
Samsung Clamshell Foldable Phone
Samsung also showed a unique folding that we have not seen before: a folding phone of two hinges Class -style. Even strange, every folding limb was a different size, with a smaller fabric at the top and the largest fabric at the bottom – and when folding up, they do not completely cover the central part. Apparently, this is to ensure that the two can be folded inside and not get into each other, but it looks strange. Unveil each flip, however, and the phone looks a bit like the 90s cell phones that knocked down their thin mouth.

If you were supposed to guess, would you say this is a phone from the past or the future?
Finally, the Samsung Display had a more unique pick-up in its series Z Flip Clamshell-instead of last year’s modern Galaxy Z appearance Flip 6, the company redesigned its external screen around a retro-fantasy view with gray polygonal plastic, a La Disney Parks’ Space Mountain or PC Computers. An elegant look at what is now a conventional folding.

Redmagic Edition 10 Pro Golden Saga.
Redmagic 10 Pro gaming phone and a silver and gold phone
The Redmagic 10 Pro Gaming Pro phone came out shortly before last year, but has a new version around. For nearly three times the price, you can get the same phone built with precious metals: gold, platting gold and silver in its cooling system, a carbon fiber body and a back cover of sapphire glass. Golden Saga’s phone, as it is called, costs $ 1,500 for a more beloved version of the same play phone.
There is also a MORA version of the Redmagic 10 Pro if you want a more affordable version with just a little more pizza.
